Certified Pre-Owned Grade A Explanation
They're chairs that come back to us because they don't fit in someone's door, someone has buyers remorse and returns before arrival, the chair gets accidentally scratched or scuffed by delivery people and the customer returns, or the customer sits in the chair a few times and decides to return for whatever reason. We give a 100 day trial period, so at the most the chair has been sat in for 100 days. Once it comes back to our headquarters we have to take the chair out of original box, do our 37 point inspection, and make sure everything is functioning properly. If the chair has a scratch or scuff mark we replace the part with a new one. Once we've taken it out of the original box we can't resell as brand new. It comes with the same warranty as a new chair in the original box, looks just like a new chair, but you save thousands and get an awesome chair.
Certified Pre-Owned Grade B Explanation
Grade B certified pre-owned means the chair will have some type of blemish or multiple blemishes "usually a scratch, a few scratches, or scuff marks". Once we receive the chair back, we have to do a 37 point inspection. We have to make sure the chair is functioning properly and look for any damage on the chair. If we don't have a new part in stock to replace the scratches or scuff marks, we resell as a grade B certified pre-owned. A grade B has more use time than our grade A's and will come with cosmetic damage. All of our Certified pre-owned grade B chairs come with the same warranty as a new chair in the original box.
