I have now had my new reformer for three weeks and I could not be happier with my purchase. I had been attending classes at a Pilates studio near my home along with my husband. We enjoyed the classes until the pandamic hit and we stepped away for our health and of others in our home. We now enjoy being able to workout at home on our timeline and not having to fit a class on a studios schedule. We love that the reformer can stand up and be out of the way when it is not in use as it is in my office. The quality of the machine has exceeded our expectations and it is easy for us to adjust for my height to my husbands height and settings. I feel this is an investment in our health and look forward to using it.
After 2+ years of taking classes, I finally took the plunge and bought my own. It's been amazing to be able to hop on the machine for quick 15-20m workouts during the workday or longer ones as I please. I like this model because it is low to the floor and I can have it vertical stand for easy storage in my apartment (great that it doesn't lean against the wall). I think the quality of the machine was worth the upgrade over getting the At Home SPX. In the month I've had it I've already recouped half the cost of the machine in would be group reformer classes. It's worth it for sure!
I purchased the SPX Max Reformer with Vertical Stand and it is awesome! I love that it stands up without leaning against a wall and has the retractable ropes as opposed to the At Home SPX Reformer.
